11 Weeks
11 Weeks
July 18, 2012
I was 11 weeks Monday, and I've been posting on Monday's but it has been a busy week! The countdown is on: 28 weeks!! The baby is now the size of a large plum (2.5 inches, .5 ounces)
When I went to the doctor last Thursday I was told I had lost 7 pounds according to there scale, which was pretty accurate with mine. As of Sunday, I have lost 10. (oops!) I wore maternity dress pants the other night, ha! My regular ones wouldn't quite button, so I figured, why not? I'm still amazed at how my clothes are getting tighter but yet I'm losing weight. Very strange! I've actually had a few stretch marks and I'm about to freak out! My next investment is tummy butter, lots and lots of it!!
I have had a terrible cold this week, and to say it's kicking my behind would be an understatement. I thought I was dying, but I'm also a little over-dramatic (me? nahhh!) I'm starting to feel a little better though. All of my daycare babies have it as well, so it's pretty miserable at my house during the days. I haven't been sleeping well at night because of the cold. Saturday & Sunday night I was up every hour coughing and just trying to breathe. Monday night I only got up a few times, which I was okay with compared to previous nights. Last night, was MUCH better! Although, I did have to get up to potty. (Which is becoming more frequently!) As in at least every hour! I'm going often, I have stopped having anything to drink after 7 PM, hoping that will help my nightly trips!
The best moment this week? DEFINITELY getting to hear our babies heartbeat! I got pretty nervous right before, because I was in the room alone. I thought Mom was going to make it back over before but Bekah's appointment ran over. So I kinda freaked myself out..but Dr. Carpenter came in and of course made me feel better and found the heartbeat almost immediately! I'm looking forward to my next appointment (August 9th) where we get to have an ultra sound! And Josh will be with me for this one! :)
